What Makes Us Different
Everyone wants a green, healthy lawn that is easy to take care of, but at what cost? The traditional method of using Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium is very detrimental to our water systems. An excess of these nutrients in water can create a rapid increase in the growth of phytoplankton, known as algal bloom. This process leads to what are called “dead zones”, areas of water where there is little to no life due to a lack of available oxygen in the water.
The threat is real. However, you can still have a beautiful, green lawn without the guilt of adding to this problem.
A little bit goes a long way in the fight to save our world, and we are proud to say that we our doing our part while still providing the utmost quality organic lawn care service that our customers have come to expect. Our product, which is living microorganisms, actually breaks down nitrates and phosphates. By increasing your soil’s microbial activity it, by design, changes the soil structure, which is the foundation for the growth of your grass.
When chemicals are constantly applied to your lawn, you risk killing off the microbial activity in your lawn and for a soil to be at its full potential to promote plant growth, we need to have the beneficial microbes working full time, all the time.
Call us today for a beautiful, green lawn naturally.

Helping the Chesapeake Bay!
As you know, this past year we changed our product to a 100% organic product that uses microorganisms rather than nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
Chemicals which do not get utilized by grass move to the soil and into waterways which flow into local ponds and streams and eventually into places like the Chesapeake Bay. An excess of these nutrients in the water can create a rapid increase in the growth of phytoplankton, known as algal bloom. This process depletes the water of available oxygen and leads to what are called “dead zones”, or areas of water
where there is little to no life due
to a lack of available oxygen in the water. The largest of these dead zones is in the Gulf of Mexico.
During this transition we promised you, our customers, that we would give a percentage of all our new sales to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, which helps to fight pollution and restore the waterways. This year, Rgreen was able to give the Chesapeake Bay Foundation a check for $1500.00!
Protect Your Trees and Shrubs
Fall is here and the days are getting cooler. As we start buying scarves, coats and gloves to prepare for winter, we also need to think about how to prepare our trees and shrubs for the winter months. Trees and shrubs need to maintain moisture during the winter to stay in good health and the exceedingly dry, cold air and winter winds can be brutal.
An anti-desiccant is vital to your landscape’s trees and shrubs by creating a barrier on needles, evergreen leaves and broadleaf shrubs by helping to slow the loss of water over winter.
This layer of organic fertilizer and “sealant” protects your valuable plants through the cold months and gradually breaks down as warm weather approaches and your trees and shrubs being growing again.
Trees and shrubs are most in danger of severe moisture loss when planted in open and unprotected areas where winds are not broken by buildings or other plants. Also, trees and shrubs less than five years old are at a higher risk of winter damage.
If you have exposed shrubs or small trees that might benefit from this type of treatment, contact Rgreen Organic today!
